Help! I'm having female problems :) ...
I have a Slow Stick and I cannot get it to power up.
I have charged the Hitec Laser TX and put the electronics together and I thought I charged the GWS 7.2V 600aHm battery with my HobbyZone Peak Charger even though the female/male connectors do not exactly match. That may be why I am not getting power (since the battery may not be charged properly). The battery is also not warm (another indication) either.
So my question is, which of these chargers will work? If none, which? By the way, the Hitech charger looks like it would fit the battery, but I have tried and it does not. I just put that picture in there so you would know what I was dealing with here.
Thanks
Dana

The hitec charger is not the proper charger for you airborne battery however the hobby zone charger that you have will work but you will have to change the connector.
The conector that you need is called a BEC conector, the small red one that is on the battery pack. You need the one that will plug into the battery then you can splice the wires to the charger wires.
Hope this helps

That plugs into a 4.8V receiver pack. Evidently you bought your Hitec transmitter-only. You can't charge a 7.2V pack with a 4.8V charger.
You CAN charge with the transmitter side, but A) you need to be careful, and B) you need to make an adapter. Best to simply use the Hobby Zone peak charger with the proper connector. The connector you need looks like the red one on the ESC, and it's called a "Female BEC," or "Female JST."

That other plug goes to what is considered an "airborne" pack or receiver pack. When you have a gas powered plan you need this 4.8v pack to power the electrics. It all makes sence once you think about it for a gas power application. I just learned this myself when I ordered my Flash 5 and the only battery they had as an option was a 4.8v.

Dana - you can use the HobbyZone charger with the plug you have shown there to charge the battery, but be EXTREMELY careful to make sure the red wire on the charger connects to the red wire on the battery, and black to black. If I remember correctly, that plug will fit the JST connector you have on the battery, but may not be polarized, so you have to make sure you get the polarity correct yourself.

Thanks, that's what I needed to know
All is well. I took the Slow Stick to a Hobby Shop, had her all powered up and they flew her for me. I wasn't going to touch it without seeing someone else do it. Now that I have a few tips in my hat, I will take that maiden flight this evening. Wish me well.
