Trimming tips
Does any one know of a resource to help me trim my planes before first flight, directions- pictures-angles.
I recently built a Smooth -E from mountain models, and have basically wrecked the fuselage trying to trim it out right. I have tried eyeballing it, but this hasn't helped, what I thought was good on the rudder turned out to be to much lift, and the plane always wanted to go inverted shortly after take off I corrected for the roll only to have it role the other way. I am having so much trouble getting this thing to fly long enough to even get my fingers on the trim buttons?
I got one decent flights out of this plane, I was maxed out on my right and doun trims, so I readjusted the control rods, recentered the trim and tried to fly! It flew even worse!!!! I will be building a new fuselage, and want to get this one right. I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks

RE: Trimming tips
Make sure that the plane is properly balanced at the C.G. and also laterally balanced from side to side. that makes a big differance on these smaller planes. hope this helps some.

Check the angle of the tail and wing also. The wing should have a positive angle compared to the tail. Im not sure what angle or how to do this but I'm sure someone who knows will help.

RE: Trimming tips
Well I havent had time to fly yet, but I took alot more time building this fueslage. I made sure everything was streight, and even mesured from different points to ensure everything lined up. seems good. I also went to the local library and looked at some books on flight/ air planes. Very helpful. Everything seems ready to go. Tomorrow weather permiting I will test it out . Thanks for the help.
