Default electron 6 question?

This may be a dumb question, but when using the electron 6 receiver with 2 aeilron servo with the E-flite tribute can you plug the batt. into slot #5 so the 2nd servo can plug into slot #6. I didn't want to toast the receiver if it is bad to do this, or is it better just to use a Y harness?

Yes, the receiver doesn't care which channel the battery (or BEC plug from a speed control) is on. Any open slot is fair game.
