Just curious about where everyone flys. Do other modelers use the same location?
Do you fly alone, with a friend or a club? Are all models electric or are some glow?
I fly at a local farm that belongs to a friend, no strip and very tall grass means no landing gear and belly landings. Most of the time I fly alone and sometimes my
wife likes to join me. All of my models are electric. All of my models being 4:
Wattage Tubby Cubby (my first model) Stock 370 w/3.67:1 Gear, 7 cell AAA nimh
Hitec Sky Scooter (my second) Axi 2212/26 direct drive, 8 cell AA nimh
Wattage F-86 EDF (my third) Stock 380 w/duct fan unit, 10 cell 2/3A nimh
Carl Goldberg Tiger 400 EP (my fourth) Axi 2212/26 direct drive, 3 cell lipo

Hi,
I fly at our club field along with all others, gas, glow whatever. We have a black cloth portion of our runway 100 X 45 ft. which can be used for ROG on electrics. I have the following planes:
Soarstar
Slow Stik
Tiger 400 (stock)
Big Stik .40 converted to electric but not yet test flown. Using 2 ea 3 cell 2000MAH lipoly's in parallel for power. 600 motor draws 265 Watts. On the ragged edge but it should fly.

I FLY AT THE LOCAL RC FIELD WITH GAS AND ELECTRIC , IT HAS A LARGE PAVED AREA
PERFECT FOR TOUCH AND GOES. I HAVE TO ADMIT ITS INTIMIDATING WITH THE GAS
BOYS , BUT EVEN WHEN I WAS LEARNING EVERYBODY WAS HELPFUL .
I ALSO FLY AT THIS CHURCH , IT HAS A NICE FIELD NO TREES , A BRAND NEW PAVED LARGE LOT WITH NO BLOCKS OR CURBS , PERFECT PLACE IF DONT WANT TO BE BOTHERED.

I fly at a family hiking, biking, picnic area place. It has 2 small/medium sized fields and I hate them. Because my dad is the one who drives me(I can't drive yet) then he always chooses those places even though he doesn't know anything about flying. He is the one who sent my first Firebird Scout in to a tree and now I won't let him fly my other one. The fields are small and have hills in them but there is a place 15 min from my house that is huge! It is flat and has an old stripped down basketball court that is great for touch and goes and ROGs. No one is ever there except for kite flyers because it is always windy there. There is another field that has a dirt road but i haven't been there. My dad's friend says he sees maybe 10-18 planes flying at a time up there. When I am 16 (1 year and a couple of months away) I will go to that field I hope. I still don't know why my dad won't listen to me where we could go to a field that I can ride my bike to and fly over the huge parking lot and huge field. Maybe I'll take a picture of it and ask you guys if I should fly there instead.
