Seems like that could be a great deal, EXCEPT.... I didn't notice any servos in the picture or the description. Without servos or a receiver battery, is it really a bargain after all?

Why would you need to get it with servos and receiver? Those can be purchased in a flight pack that matches your plane. Most of the servos and receivers sold with radios are big and heavy. If you are flying smaller planes, parkflyers, many sailplanes, those are like lead. Most of my planes use micro servos and micro receivers.
That radio has been selling at Bruckner Hobbies for $89 without the charger for over a year and that has been considered a good deal. This was a great deal!
A Hitec Laser 4, a standard radio, sells for $65 new and can't touch what the Futaba 6EXA does.
