I HAVE A FOAMY GWS QUAD TRANSPORT, IT HAS NIMH AAA 750 MAH 8.4 V BATTERY.

MOTORS 4 GWS EDP 50 DIRECT DRIVE , ESC GWS ICS 300 8 AMP, RECIEVER FUTABA

114F.


HOW BIG A LI-POLY CAN I GO UP TO, NEED TO KNOW THE MAH AND VOLTS.

Bill,
You could replace the 8.4V with a 2cell 7.4 volt lithium. A 3 cell will burn out your motors in short order. If it were me, I would look at an Apogee 830 or Thunderpower 900. Unless you need the weight up front and then I would look at a 2S 1320 or 2S 1500. Note that the GWS Speed controllers do not have lithium support.
There is a pilot using a 2S Tanic 2500 in his with very good results.
