New to electrics, so hope this is just a nube issue!
setup:
eflite 370 outrunner 1080
Castle C. 10 - ESC
Kokam 3sp1 pack (780mah)
First flight things went fine... nosed over on landing, then the problem starter.
Now when I try to apply throttle the motor jerks back and forth like it can't make up it's mind which direction to turn? Happens at ANY throttle position... If I leave the throttle on for a couple of seconds the ESC just shuts down the power to the motor.
any ideas???

Something was damaged in that nose-over landing. Either one of the windings is broken in the motor, or one of the phases in the ESC is burned out.
Did you land with power on? A common newbie mistake is to forget to shut the throttle off when the plane noses in. Leaving it sitting there with the motor in the stalled state for any length of time can cause burned windings or ESCs, even with Castle's overcurrent protection.
How hard was this landing, really? No offense, but some people's idea of a "nose over" is actually a "lawn dart."

Matt,
Thinks for the reply.....
It was a soft nose over ..... I've been flying glow for a while, and I've done my share of lawn darts!...
I was out of the throttle (maybe one or 2 clicks), and just floating it in.
If I did leave that little bit of throttle, I'm concerned these could be that fragile!
I explained this to CC, and they are sending a new ESC... said it was a "single FET failure" and it shouldn't have happened?
thanks anyway,
Scott

Scott,
Double check the motor too. I went through 7 of them in 6 mos. A motor failure could have induced the Esc failure. The magnet is attatched to the shaft on this motor, if you cracked the magnet or broke it it, would in fact give you this problem.
Call Horizons Customer Service, they should replace it for free, if it is in fact a motor failure.
They replaced all 7 of mine, until I requested a Hacker replacement instead of another Eflight.
Again it was substituted at no charge. Great repair service there, just like Castle.

Glacier Girl,
Thanks for the info.... When I get the new ESC I'll be able to determine if it's the efilte outrunner....
If it does the same thing, I follow your advice.
thanks agian,
