Well, i want to get int rc flight, i really wanted a heli, but the planes are wayy cheaper and simpler, and i think i'd crash a heli alot. So, i'm at tower hobbies looking at rtf's and i need some help. Ok, i narrowed it down to a few and i need to know which is the best of the ones i list. Well, my first question is, what is it called when you can with the radio go up and down. I don't want a plane that tou have to set it and not be able to change it while in flight, so i want to know if any of these have that funcion also, because my grandfather purchased one with that pre adjusted before flight, and he just hasn't run it since because it's a pain i guess. I might pick up another cheap one while i'm at it just so he can fly too. Do all 3ch planes have this function? Here's the links.....
Oh ya, and how much runtime will i get with the stock batts?

I don't know much about those choices you've found, but if you're more interested in heli's you may want to look at

for a lost cost, crash resistent rotating wing.

Of the planes that you selected, the Red Hawk is your best bet. However, if you have never flown before, you might want to but the AirHogs AeroAce (available at Toys-R-Us, Target, etc.) for $30. Its a very simple plane to learn on, is virtually unbreakable and is a lot of fun to fly. Its so small that you don't need a large field to fly it, you can fly it in a playground, in front of your house, etc. Once you have gotten used to flying it, you will do much better with the bigger planes (won't crash as much).

However....
The BEST way to go for the money, in my opinion, is the T-Hawk.
For about $180, it includes two NiMH battery packs, a one hour AC/DC charger, an FM 3 ch. radio, and spare parts!.
If you can't afford $180, go for the Red Hawk.
Most importantly, before you fly anything, get the FMS flight simulator. It is free, and will save you from crashing your plane quite a bit. Do a Google search on it, and you will hit paydirt. You can get a good start by just buying a dual analog USB controller for your PC. It is not exactly the same as flying for real, but it gives you that valuable feel, and helps you get your directions straightened out.
