Default ARf plane selection for beginner

I am a newbie into the R/C world. I just bought a Futaba T6XAS transmitter and a Great Plane Spirit Glider. I now want to get into electrics. Since I don't have the building skills, I thought I would stay with an ARF for my entry into electrics.

What I need is a good plane that has good flight characteristics, but not real interested in small park flyers. Has anyone flown one the following planes:

1. Sig Rascal EP
2. Multiplex Pico Club
3. Cermark New Timer
4. Thunder Tiger Sparky
5. Robbe Airdancer

I am looking for what doesn't work (such as a particular motor in a certain plane) or what does work (plane/motor/ESC/propeller/battery)

Thanks,
Bob

Default Good Electric ARF'S

I can only say that I have been very happy with the Miss2 and
Miss Moravia I purchased from Hobby Lobby.
These two planes are high quality and fly super.
I've been flying the Miss2 for two years now equiped with a stock
(cheap 400 motor with graupner 3/1 gearbox and using 8 cell
1100mah battery packs.
The Miss Moravia has AstroFlight geared o5 motor with 8 cell
1100mah battery pack. Both use apc electric 9/5 props on jeti speed controls. 10 minute plus flight times.
You can't go wrong with these Chec Republic Arf's.

Have fun with your Electrics!!

Default Flight times...

I was considering getting into electrics (I fly 40's), and had a quick question...

I'm looking at the Super Miss from Hobby Lobby and was wondering about the flight times. Given their suggestion,
"Nicad:
B1700C7 7 Cell CP-1700 mAh Nicad Pack ........ $ 51.80"
would you care to offer any estimations?

Also, do you know of any floats that might fit this plane?

Thanks,
-Tink
