Opinions on Hyperion

My Feedback: (1)
I've been running into a lot of stuff from Hyperion at various online stores lately. They seem to be distributing/producing some competitively priced products that appear to have r/c hobbyists in mind, i.e., I get the feeling the people behind Hyperion fly models themselves. What kinds of experiences has anyone here had with their goods?
Thanks, David

Have 5-6 motors and 4-5 ESC`s from Hyperion.
Their motors are "cheap but OK", like AXI etc. Not the best but they work good for most flyers! Have seen/tested the stuff a lot... Two identical motors did measure very different, and I have noticed some inaccuracy/slop in bearings. Often they wibrate when frontmounted, but works much better with backmounting.
Their ESC`s: Have had some odd behavior on startup, and seems like the software is "OK but not the best". I usually get more power from motors using Jeti ESC`s... And have several times experienced fading in motorpower when I run them at close to max load. Even before they have a chance to get hot. Won`t buy more of their ESC`s.

I own hyperion products, and so far they appear to be solid, medium cost items. Better quality than Tower Pro or Hi-model and very popular in the UK. The hyperion E-meter is probably the best and most advanced power meter currently on the market. The motors are very well made - I'll be buying more of their esc's in future, because the E-meter can be used to easily program them.
