RTF for a Newb?

My mom's BF is kinda intrested in the RTR Electric Planes... I used to have a Firebird XL (hit a tree) and he thinks they're pretty cool, and the RC Airport is five minutes from my house at Markham Park, FL....
But we want a more realistic looking plane that comes with everything, except maybe Battery, is easy to fly, and isn't too expensive, as well as durable.
Any suggestions...
I would get him a kit, but he's not that pacient, and he would end up making me build it.. But I have a Nitro Truck and my brother's elec. Truck to maintane, so I'm already short on time...
-Traxxas Revo and Stampede, btw...

Hobbico's Ventura might be one to look at. I had no trouble with it as one of my first planes.
