it is a GWS 2-3 cell lipo safe esc. When i first plugged the battery in polarity was wrong so i got a small spark, i then redid the deans on my battery and got now power, do you think i short circuited the esc that fast? and i never plugged in any motors just pluged the esc intho the throttle channel on my ar6100. Thanks

mtbrider,
If you checked out the previous points, and a fully loaded battery connected to your ESC and it still doesn't give any sign of life , then, most probably you destroyed the ESC with the wrong polarity connection of your battery.[]
Be carefull:
If you changed the Deans connector in polarity on your Lipo battery, be sure you have the right connection on your charger to !!

mtbrider,
It's true that your Permax 400's will worn out quicker with 3S Lipo's, however you probably don't full throttle all the time with 3S. The cost of replacing 2 Permax 400's isn't that much compared to the price of another Lipo pack.
However It will shure fly with a 2S Lipo pack, depending on what kind of power You want from it.
