hello everyone, i went to see some rc planes for the first time ever last week. oh my god i think i'm in trouble!!!!! i know you have all heard this question before but,please tell me which plane would be my best bet to learn on without sinking a lot of money and destroying it on my first flight. thanks for any help

First of all you need to make sure that you have a responsibly trained person to teach you, either someone that you personally know or detter yet get yourself into an R/C flying club to fly. There will be experienced pilots who are more then happy to teach you. Too many people have tried without assistance and failed. Leading to getting saddly discouraged and never getting into the hobby. Secondly you will need to join the AMA ( Academy of Model Aeronautics) The supply you with the needed insurance just in case something goes wrong while flying and your plane destroys someones property ( CAR, HOUSE, or GOD FORBID ANOTHER PERSON GETS INJURED) Unfortuantely these are all factors to take into consideration. R/C flying is GREAT FUN But things do have a tendency to go wrong!! As far as a good trained? Well opinions on this will vary as to whether gas or electric is the best. They both have there advantages! I personally am a Gas Person. I have tried electric but didn't quit get into it. The type of plane you should get it a 4 channel trainer that is high wing type. There are a number of great trainer out there whether you want to build it yourself or get a ARF Almost Ready to Fly. Most new people to the hobby have been leaning to ARF'S Because they are quick to get put together and built very well. Once you have been in the hobby for a while you might want to try building. It is a new and very rewarding experience to take a pile of wood and turn it into something that resembles an airplane and flys. I hope that you find this helpfull. I highly recommend this sport/hobby to anyone. I find it extremely fulfilling and it is my second PASSION in life, my first is my family. Best of Luck.

hello all!! ok i need help.. i started flying r/c at 6 y/o iam 30 now.. lots of off periods and no flying..i am getting back into it (agian) i have three am 4 channel futabas, channel 42,16and 13. i also have one 6 channel airtronics fm dual conversion narrow band channel 13. i have picked my target aircraft, its electric a great planes ultimate. i was wondering what reciever, servos, esc to use with my transmitter i want to buy quality equipment but use my transmitter, i like the airtronics. could someone give me a list of reccomendations motor ect for this plane, not that i dont trust the greatplanes setup but just dont know if its the best.
