Default help am in a big problem


hello:

i wish somebody can help me:

i bought an airplane from bananahobby.com i paied 409 $ but i recieve nothing, during shipment the plane got lost and no body giving me my mony back, it was sent by UPS, i calld the Admin of bananahobby.com and she told me that she refund the money but its a lie i didnt recieve anything, please help me what should i do?
i calld ups and they refuse to help they keep telling me to call the shipper and its under investigation, am so sad now i have no plane or money

Seedo, if you ordered the plane using your credit card then call your credit card company and tell them what happened. Tell them you were supposed to get a refund but didn't - they will chase it up. Also, if everything else turns bad your credit card company might even insure the lost purchase.

If you didn't buy using credit card, or the credit card company wont chase it up then find out where banannahobby is located and track down the consumer advocacy group for that state/district/nation. Send them an email explaining what happened. They may well chase it up with you.

However, before doing any of that make sure you have given the merchant a chance to actually do what they said they would.

oh god thank u for answering me, i calld the bank already and they going to chase them
well i have the admin cell number i calld her befor, i will call her today and c if she will give me back my money or resend the plane if not ten the bank will do the job.
i need more advices cuz this is the first time happening to me, and here is a tip i will stick to hobby lobby and never leave it again.

seedo, I know it was probably embarrasing for you to post this, but thanks for letting others know of your difficulty. I'm just getting started in the hobby and have not ordered much from anyone except a plane and battery from Hobby-Lobby. The plane is back ordered, and I know there will be a delay in shipping, so I'm not concerned as I've only heard good reports about them.

Thanks again and I hope everything works out for you.

EDIT: seedo seems to have gotten everything sorted out, so I've edited this post to remove information that does not apply now.

a safe company to use is probably the most popular one, tower hobbies. the thing i dont like about hobby lobby is they are mostly electric oriented and i like glow and some electric, so its nice to have an account with tower hobbies.

well am sorry carrie, but it was strange because, UPS in my country told me the plane was lost in the US, and secondly once you told me u will refund, i waited for 6 days now and nothing i recieved, and the other thing i tried to email the sales department many times and no one respond, now i will check today if i get my money back and i wish i will get it, if i will get my money i will make a big apology in this thread and take back everything i said, beside i calld the Admin of Bananahobby.com on friday and she told me that its already been refund, so today is monday morning i will wait till tommorow mourning, i already inform my bank what happen and they told me they will take care of it, i will call them right now and tell them to wait till tommorow mourning and then if i dont get back my money then they have to do what they have to do.
carrie if u just answer back my Emails it wouldnt get like this am sorry.
but lets hope things go good
if i get back my money i dont have a problem to be a customer of your store, its a realy nice store.

No, I'm not associated with the www.bananahobby.com let alone in their sales department. I'm a former Navy Commander that is now a system engineering manager for a major aerospace company and help develop, integrate, test and field GCCS-J, and have lived in the Kuwait, Abu Dhabi and Dubai for over three years, as well as have served in the region for over 5 years; consequently, I am quite familiar with the region's business modus operandi and I know there is more than one side to every situation. Again, it is apparent that people make assumptions based on no information, which is quite typical.

I received the information after I wrote an email to www.bananahobby.com, and advised them they were being criticized in this forum about their customer service. Sales records are not private except for the credit card / banking related information. Also, the accused has a right to defend themselves.

Tower and Horizon are in a joint retail venture called "Hobbytown USA." I feel extremely safe dealing with them because it's the same thing as buying direct from either company. While I like my independant LHS, they can't get everything, so hobbytown USA covers about everything most folks would want.

In general, aside from 3D Hobby Shop and Horizon, I hate to mail/web order anything. I see too many stories from unhappy people who got hosed by.....well, you've seen the threads.

well bananahoby.com contact me and told me they found the plane so i think the problem solved and i want to say that hey wasnt trying to not give me my money but things was going slowly thats all.
i apologize for what happen and i take back everything that i said, guys bananahobby.com r not bad like i thought but there was a misunderstanding. so am so sorry again
