e flite p 38 elevons

Default e flite p 38 elevons

can I fly the e flite p 38 with elevons in stead of alerons and elevator? , any one tried this?

Won't work. The ailerons are too close to the plane's center of gravity to effectively and reliably control the pitch of the plane, especially with the conventional tail way out back stabilizing the plane. Notice how elevon-controlled planes are flying wings or delta wings where the elevons are far enough behind the center of gravity to get some "leverage," or there's no tail sticking way out back to stabilize the plane.

A P-38 would look kinda silly missing it's tail

thanks Matt that makes a lot of sense,I was curious,I like rudders when I initiate a turn so I wll build with rudders.elevator
