I fly with several guys from work every chance we get. I have some past experience but am pretty new to electric flight. I fly a slow stick by gws and love it. I fly the stock 300 motor and a 7.4v 2000mah lipo. Plenty of power and flys great! My question is about another plane. My buddy has a slow v (parkzone?) that is pretty similar to my stick other than the v tail. We can't get this thing to fly no mater what we do. It seems to lack power and the best we can get it to do is limp around the field for a while like an injured bird. We have tried the battery upggrade to 8.4 volts but it still lacks power. My stick has power to burn with the same size motor and less voltage! It might have something to do with nimah vs the lipos but 8.4 volts is 8.4 volts right? any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

i think you should take to slo-v back and get a hobby zone super cub!!! its a great trainer. i have also heard that the GWS Slow Stick is a good choice too. One of my DB buddies has one and he really enjoys it. just pull trigger and and go for it!

From what I've heard, the Slo-V on the bigger battery flys like the Slow Stick, so....
If the prop seems to spin up to speed, maybe the prop is on backwards....
