Default F-27C stryker landing gear ???

G-Day all

i recentley burned out my E-Flight 25 amp ESC in my stryker for god knows what reason but that it another story..
i replaced it with a 36 amp venom esc and now the motor is to slow to react it takes about one second for the motor to react and then it spins very slowley for another second or so then it completley stops for about half a second and then it finaly starts normaly i am confordent that there is nothing wrong with the ESC.does it react slowley because the esc is so much biger than it is suposed to be and is there any way to speed up the reaction time on it the reason i want to speed it up because i hand launch my stryker and dont like hand launching it with the prop spining and by the time i throw it and hit the throtle it has landed its self...

is there any way known of puting a landing gear in my stryker or some kind of trolley which stays on the ground but acts as a landing gear.i am desperate to fly any help would be great thanks

simmo, you may want to check to see if the esc is adjustable some motors require a different advance on the esc to perform correctly. That may be your problem, or you may have damaged the windings in the motor and are getting an intermittent short.

As for landing gear, check the Stryker forum in the Park Flyers section, all kinds of set ups for landing gear. From a buggy to even like I did on one, and installed retracts.

You might have soft start and brake turned on (on the esc)
try to find the esc's programming card

Guys

Eflite 2000KV with a 40ESC and 2250Mah/25c and the prob is 6X5 CF.

Is that a good setup for a F27c?

Thanks

It might be worth verifying why the original ESC was burned out. Perhaps the motor was severely overloaded and over-heated causing damage to the windings and/or magnets. This might account for the erratic operation you have described. If possible, measure the no-load (no prop) current and see if it is as low as the factory specs.

Yes, stalling for 2 seconds could have damaged the windings, especially if the original ESC had no over-current protection. With voltage applied, the motor must spin up to generate the back EMF that keeps current levels at safe levels. While stalled, the only resistance offered is very low (milli-ohms) so huge currents can flow that can quickly heat the windings and burn the insulation. I would be suspicious of any hesitation or erratic operation, especially if the motor was operating smoothly before. If the motor windings were shorted by overheating, you're risking your new ESC and your lipos as well. Perhaps you can try a known good motor and see if you get normal operation with the new ESC.
