Default 'dry testing' brushless motors

Goedendag

"Some of us may have run across a brushless motor that has questionable operation, perhaps after overheating it, or after crash damage. It may even have come from a swap shop. The question is "Do you want to connect it to an ESC" and risk possible damage to the ESC? ..."

Several simple test methods:

Good info.

Do you know where to buy some stater plates, 80-90mm, 12 tooth?

Not that size but www.gobrushless.com has 18pole 65mm stators. Stators that size will always have more than 12 poles, otherwise the teeth would get too massive:

110mm statorlaminations

Scorpion (via www.innov8tivedesigns.com ) will be producering +100mm stators later on.
