I've become a totally dedicated Electric Flyer but I'm not flying anything smaller than 600 size aircrafts. So far I've been using the brushed motors and I want to go brushless. I've been looking real hard at the Phasor motors but I heard from a club member that people who fly lots of electrics at another club near us, have been throwing magnets from these motors after about the 10th or 12th flight. Are there any others that have heard or had this problem? And any experience with the AXI motors? I know it is a bit different with the outside can actually spinning but I have heard some good things.
Any comments are welcome.
Thanks

Phasors throw magnets if the rpm's are run over IIRC 20K. These can be wrapped in kevlar. I personally would go for a mega 22 series over any phasor. Axi's a great motors lotsa torque no gearboxes. many sizes to choose from. For sp400 size to the whoopin 4128. Fly a huge plane with that beast. Aveox als has come alive with their newer series motors like the 2739/1.5 . As for 600 size aircraft a sp400 size brushless like the Hacker b or c40 or the Kontronics Fun 400 fun 480 can put out close to 400watts with the propper set up. A 600 size can motor won't even come close to that.
Sport planes in the 50-60"ws with an auw of 40-60 oz on 10 and 12 cells are getting incredible unlimited veertical 3d flying on these 400/480 sized motors.
Hope this helps.

I have 2 Jeti 15/4's and a Jeti 30/3 with many many flights and never had an problems at all with them. As mentioed Mega 22/20 or 22/30 series motors work really well as do the Hacker B40s.

It sounds like they're trying to run the Jetis with too many cells. That's what makes them spin too fast and throw magnets. Any motor will throw a magnet if it's spun too fast.
