does anyone else have a fliton prodigy 3d, and have actually gotten to fly it? i bought this kit about a month ago, and building it i noticed it was very flimsy, but built it anyway, it even gives a note in the instructions that states something like, "if the wood that the root of the wings epoxy to seems too tender you may want to reinforce it". why wouldnt they fix this problem instead of ship it out with a note...? anyway to the real story, took it out for its maiden today, flying it setup as follows, e-flite park450, e-flite 25amp esc, 2100 3s tp li-po, auw being 19.7 oz. turned on the tx, set the plane down and switched it on, checked my range and controls... taxi'd around a bit because im still not used to a plane with a tail skid (which by the way fell off shortly after the "flight") i then lined the plane up, gave it throttle and pointed it into the wind, after about 25 ft. the plane made about a 3 inch hop and touched back down instantly folding the landing gear under and tearing the lower half of the fuselage almost totally off on the left side... i almost walked up and set the plane ablaze... what on earth is the problem with these things? i bought my girlfriend an e3d off of texasrcplanes.com and it is 10x the plane the prodigy is, and it cost nearly $30 less than the prodigy. my opinion, the prodigy deserves one thing, to be dismantled, my power system salvaged, and tossed into the dumpster without ever getting the chance to see it fly... it was a very beautiful little plane, but now looks like a demolition derby plane, after only 5 mins of being a completely finished plane.

Fliton is one of those companies that some people will swear by and some will swear at. I've had several and agree they are kind of weak. That may one of the reasons they are so light. I still have the Fliton A J Extra 330. While it flys well, it always seems to need some repairs, when I return from a day of flying. After I built it and before it ever flew, I had already prejudged it and determined that one crash and it would be history. Luckily, it hasn't seen that crash yet. I've already picked out it's replacement. Until then I'll just get as many flights out of it a possible. When the time comes, it will get the "Viking Funeral"........Pat

very nice, but seriously it kills me to think i might be throwing away a $110 kit and all the other construction costs, ive got nearly $450 in this plane as it sets and its imo a junkpile, it hasnt ever left the ground and is already hideous in appearance, it just makes my heart sink because i had such high expectations for this plane... my girlfriend even wanted to trade me her e3d for it and now im glad i didnt trade because i couldnt imagine her heartbreak if it did this to her. not a good experience for my first balsa electric
