Default recommended first plane?

Hi guys, I'm looking to take up a hobby in R/C planes electric preferably but I don't know anything about ...anything. I'd like to learn how to put a plane together rather than crafting it from nothing (although i'd like to learn that sometime) or buying a ready to fly aircraft.

can someone recommend something?

thanks in advance guyz!

I've seen a few of these fly and they are realy good. It comes with the Spektrum radio, which you can also use in future planes. It's styrofoam, so it's easy to repair, and you can buy replacement parts if you break something too badly. Eflite is a good brand and it's backed by Horizon Hobbies.

I've seen these in the local hobby store for about $240 or so, and that's pretty good since it comes with battery and charger. This is a pretty inexpensive way to get started with a quality plane. You can go cheaper, but it won't be nearly as nice as this. So far, this is the best value I've seen. I watched a new guy solo in one day on one of these, so it must fly pretty good.
