Default Are capacitors needed on Minimax?

I picked up the MinMax special and there are 2 capacitors alread installed on the motor. The speed control comes with 3 more caps. Is the 3rd one really needed (the one that goes from positive to negative)?

Thanks,

Mark M.

I've been flying it with no additional caps with no problems.
