Help.
What is a battery performance difference with higher number discharge rates (10C vis 20C vis 30C) for the same size and voltage battery?
1800mAh 4S (10C or 20C or 30C)?
Thanks.
Jerry

Higher "C" ratings equate to higher power (current draw) without making 'tacos' out of your batts.
1800ma @ 10C = 18A - - @ 20C = 36A - - @30C = 54A
For a 4-cell LiPo that means 266.4 watts for a 10C, 532.8 watts for 20C, and 799.2 watts for 30C
using 14.8 as ref voltage. Rough estimate can be calculated for your plane by using Moto-Calc or
equivalent software. Better yet measure it with a power meter, and buy accordingly. I like at least
a 30% margine, a fully charged 4-cell pack is 16.8V so initial spool up can (and will) draw more
current than the above averages.
