Building the E-flite Beechcraft Bonanza,
Everything finished but problem is
cannot remove back plate of the Aluninum
spinner, will not budge of the collet or motor
shaft, also cant get behind the back plate sitiing
less than 1/8in from the front of the cowling.
I have to put some weight in the nose area
but cannot remove cowl with the backplate
of the spinner stuck on the collet and motor
shaft? What to do, I really dont want to go
out and buy a gear puller must be a better way
or something i just dont know!

OK all you rocket scientist out there!!!!
All it took was some penetrating oil and
a very short burst off a torch and all is off.
I guess if you dont go out and spend a ton
of money on your upgrades with RC out
off the box you wont get simple answers!!!

Just saw your post. I usually use a screwdriver and pry carefully and evenly. On a real toughie I screw on the prop nut until it is just slightly shy of even with the shaft, then I put pressure on whichever part I want to remove and tap sharply with a very light hammer. In 20 years of e-power flying, I have never used a torch, but, hey, it woked(-:

I just did not know how to tackle this?
The back plate of the spinner was really on tight
where i did try tapping with a very light hammer
even that would not loosen it up, so i sat thought
and came up with alittle heat and enought to expand
and the back plate came right of, then put the back
plate on balancer and it spun tru and the little heat
i applied did no damage to anything. IT WORKED!!!
