Range Check

1 Attachment(s)
Hello,

I just did a range check and got 64 yards with the antenna down is this good?

And could you look at the way I installed my antenna. I raped it around the tail skid with out crossing the wire in a coil then put some shrink-rap over it so I don't have to much wire flying out the back. Is this ok?

Thanks Brian.

64 YARDS? That's plenty. Your radio's instruction manual will tell you that an adequate range check is 75 FEET, almost 1/3 of what you achieved :)

As long as you wrap the antenna in a coil, and don't bunch it up, you'll be okay. In fact, that was an excellent idea.

I always do a range check with the motor running. The motor controler often is the first to "jitter" so I set the transmitter down and walk away with the plane so if the motor ramps up I have a good hold of it.
