what kind of plane? how big? fast, slow, indoor, outdoor, 2 channel, 3 channel? lots of options for ya

the companies below carry some RTF micro planes. theres seems to be a size gap between micro planes and park flyers. it would be nice if a big name company produced a 10-12" 3 channel plane that didnt cost more than a couple hundred dollars. there's probably some out there, i just havent seen them.

That's the problem - under a certain size, the price of components goes through the roof... exponentially. [&o]

Andrew-
After reading your other post - I doubt you need a lot of power. Trust me, get something slow and relatively cheap to start with, and get help wth it.

For $200 or under, stick with a parkflier size(30-50" wingspans, roughly). Consider some of the GWS, Wattage, and E-Flite planes. Here's a few more links to look at:

Keep in mind, unless you buy a complete package.... you will need a radio, battery(several packs), and a good battery charger.

If you decide to fly glo, then you'll need several more things, and the cost adds up quickly.
Hope this helps. (at least a little)

It's a kit, and no, all you get with it is a box of wood and plans/instructions. After you build it, you would have to buy the radio equipment, batteries, motor, speed control seperately, plus the added challenge of covering and setting everything up.

It's not impossible for a beginner, but it sure is starting the hard way. I wouldn't reccomend it unless you have lots of time, patience, and some help from an experienced builder/flyer.

go for the plantraco butterfly it's 4 channel but it's a little bit out of your price range at $240. it also comes witha simulator to practice the butterfly. go to there website plantraco.com click on plantraco hobbies website then go under our products and click on rtf butterfly. there are a couple of vids too. also comes with a carry case that is really strong.
