I trie building one of these today but the meat tray foam i had was 5mm thick and they recomend 2-3mm(didnt fly). i pulled one of the wires off the reciever so i got it exchanged for a new one.

Is there any other kind of foam you can get in 2-3mm thickness thats not depron and is sold locally?

Those are some wild planes (jelous) on that second link!
They had the plans for that flying flower (flower power) in
Backyard Flyer Magazine, july 06. One of the hardest builds
I've seen yet.

i saw the flower article too, even got a chance to read the original thread on it over at RCG...wish i bookmarked that *d'oh* it looks really cool in the air, he needs a VPP so he can stand the flower up right! you're right on the build though, it looked incredibly complex. the X-Falcon is pretty cool too.
