Well it's getting close to that time again here in central Florida. The dates have been set for February 19th and 20th and I asked for perfect weather that weekend. We will be flying all AMA classes 401 thru 404 and 406 flying "P" on Saturday and "F" on Sunday. We will do our best to get 4 rounds Saturday and 2 rounds on Sunday for all classes. The fee will be 30.00 which will include a BBQ lunch and drink. An address to use for the GPS is 2901 or 2900 Old Polk City Rd Lakeland, FL 33809.

Direction: I-4 exit 38 go north 1/4 mile to first road on left. Turn left on Tomkow Rd. to dead end and gate is strait across intersection. I will post a temporary gate code but closer to the contest date.

The Northwest Florida Pattern Mafia will be there, including, I hope, John Fuqua, Mike Plummer, Houston Schweitzer, Rob Campbell, Greg Grigsby and me. We will even try to convince Curt Oberg to get a turnaround airplane and come down with us.

Just one simple request: No frost on the grass in the early morning this year.

I've already got the weather ordered for the weekend. It's going to be highs in the low 70's and no wind and no clouds. So come on down we're going to have a good time. Oh yes, how is the VF3 coming along for Houston?

I am really jalous of you guys, have fun!! Here it is freezing, snow on the field!!

Question: I regurlarly go to Gainesville (Fl) for work. Any serious pattern flying there?
