Default New Builds for 2011 Season?

So what is everyone building for the coming season?

I just completed a Sickle with an Onas on the big brown truck.

I plan to build a Sickle too. Also working on an Ulery TOC Laser for Rusty's Classic/TOC contest next year.

I don't think these really count as building, but they are both done, ready to go next year.

I'm going with a scratch built job. It is based on my 33% laser. After taking some measurments I was pleased that the original Laser Fuse is just shy of 2M. So far I have a very light fuse made up and just finished drawings for the wings and tail that will be dropped off at the foam cutter tomorrow. Going to go EP with this one but will have to learn some about the systems before deciding what products to buy.

just finishing a VK Corben Super ACE. My Brian Taylor Storch short kit will be next on the board, but I won a Hangar 9 Twister 3D 60 at our club's Christmas party, so I'll probably hold off on the Storch for the two or three days it'll take to put this cool ARF fun flyer together and install the gear.

While the mouse is away.........................

It's sitting on the building table. I just mocked it up to check the alignment. So far so good.

I did find that CA did some VERY useful.

The Onas has alignment dots molded into the fuse sides. I didn't bother to check these from side to side but concentrated on the right side. I used my Laser light and set the fuse up and shot the right side to where these were level. Then slid the wings and stabs on and checked them. It comes with +.5 in the wings and down thrust measures 1 degree.

Seems the right side dots are perfect. I'll ignore the left side.

The fuse reminds me of our old school pattern ships. much filling and sanding coming up.

I've have the plans, cores and nearly everything else for Super Sportwin. It's not a pattern plane but it's still pretty cool. Have a look.
