HI Bill I hope to have the white one at the Wiston Salem contest in a couple of week. So come on over and look at it and get a flight also. I haven't heard from Chris if they came in yet. Dale Aronld seem to like it, since the Nat's every contest we go to and plane there he's first wanting to fly it. It a good flying plane , I ilke it. Hopefully we see you at up coming contest.

Hey JR,

I like the plane. I would love to fly it but I will be TDY starting the 28th to the 19th. I plan on stopping in at Green Sea. Archie is going to let me try his Nuance if I get a chance. I would love to fly the Griffin and make up my mind. The Prolog is high on my list also.

Thanks for the offer.

Bill sorry you miss us again. All three plane are good flyer. I have been flying the Prolog all season and very happy with it. I'll be at Green sea and you be welcome to fly the Prolog, and Griffin if it's there. Hopefully Chris will make to the next couple of contest in D2.

Finally got a few better pics of the yellow base version from the factory. A few of these are arriving with the Nov 29 shipment and a few more in the mid Dec shipment. These pics are not very good but we will take a lot of the yellow version when the shipment arrives.

Can the Griffin be picked up on the east coast location rather than shipped ? Sent a couple of e-mails .

Chris or Mike,

I read on the Lorenz site that the fuse length is 1990mm which puts it 79.60 ". Don't know if that is an accurate length being as that would put it beyond two meters (78.74). I'm wondering if the rudder comes pre-hinged. If so, I'm fairly sure it can be modified for pinning so that it is removable.

For the few that are state side or any across the pond, I'd appreciate a fuse measure . My new vehicle is somewhat tight on interior length.
Thanks

1990 mm is less than 2M. Check your metric to inches conversion.

That would be great news if accurate . I used mm x .04 = inches.

Got that from an old metric conversion chart

Hi,
No conversion req'd;
2M =2000mm

OK Guys the fuse is 73 5/8 from rudder to front of fuse on a level floor. You would need to add the spinner to it.

Thanks, obviously you've got one to measure.

I'd also appreciate a dimension for the fuse height at the highest point - the belly to the peak of the canopy .

Can you also inspect yours to see if there is a full rudder post to convert to a removable rudder ? A squeeze of the fuse at that area should tell you if there is something inside the composite shell.

Thanks again

I know it was designed for a Q80, will it handle a Pletty Advance?

F.Imbriaco
here are some dimension for you hope this answer some of your questions.
from ground to top of canopy 19.50 in.
ground to top of rudder 16.50in.
belly to peak of canopy 13.75in.
gear spread 20 in.
rear stab 31 in.
the widest piont on the fuse 5.5in at gear plate area

As for the rudder plane came already hinged, but as you per your request yes it does feel solid at fuse and rudder area. If you rehinge with plastic hinge and put a pianio wire in it should work.

Peter we have a Himax in plane and yes it was designed around the Q80 but I don't see why you couldn't put a Pletty Advance or 30-10 in it. Mike and Chris have the pattern for the fire wall if needed.

Hope this helps you out.
