In the past few days, there has been a lot of noise regarding the effects of not using a rear support the nose mounted motors. This has happened both on the NSRCA mail lists as well as here. I will be mounting one on a new biplane and I'm not willing to take any risks on this.
I was wondering if we could use this thread to share as many pictures of rear mounts for nose mounted motors, so we can all get the best of every solution and come up with lighter, stronger and simpler solution.
I hope we can get some ideas here

Here's one for a Q80. Carbon tube in center fits in the bearing. Tabs epoxied to the fuselage and threee-legged support mount bolt to the tabs. Material is plywood sandwich with carbon. The carbon is overkill, Bare 1/8 aircraft ply would work just fine. This arrangement even survived a mid-air although the plane did not.
I guarantee this will work better than Jerry's rear mount.....for a Q80.
