Default what tool do you use to measue you elevator throws

I am looking for a better and more accurate way to measure the throws (in degrees) of the elevators, rudder, etc.

I have seen a device that clamps on you elevator (looks like a clothes pin) that measure both neg and positive throws.

This what you're talking about?

It's what I use for all my stuff. There is a possibility of using the digital readout meter from the incidence meter setup from Horizon, but I find it's too heaving for a lot of elevator setups to handle so I just use a pair of the little wooden analog devices....

This is the cats meow for measuring throws: http://www.buddengineering.com/Merch...ategory_Code=P

The laser meter helps a lot on anhedral stabs as well, when regular pointers will move in/out and the elevators go up/down.

HI Jim,

I will have to consider this later in the year, but I do know Jerry Budd and have flown with him a few times. He supplies very quality items.
thank you for your assistance.

There is a slightly different version out there, this one goes for $3.99 but does not clip on:

I bought the Turnigy Rotor Star from HK and though it was great until I dragged out my old drafting 45 and 60/30 set squares. In the case of my Rotor Star, the digit after the decimal point must be generated by a random number generator and someimes was out by well over a degree.

Great for a rough check (1/2 deg in 20 is only 2.5%) but that laser and ruler looks good,

I have a Level program for my iPhone, which I simply rest on the control surface. A little awkward, but good enough.
