Default Castle Edge 80HV question

Hi everyone,

I have a new Edge 80hv esc installed in my Vanquish, with a Himax pro. First 3 flights last week went fine. Today though something strange developed. When I plug in the batteries the power-on tone sounds really really faint (where it's usually quite loud) and the motor refuses to turn. And if I leave the throttle stick above idle, I hear (faintly too) the two-beep tone that signifies a low voltage error. I've tried 3 different packs and they look fine on the charger, so I'm sure it's not the batteries. Someone suggested maybe check the soldering on the connectors...any other thoughts?

cheers,
Ken

Problem solved...it was a bad solder joint. Re-soldered and esc is now working normally again.

It is great to see posts like this. It is hard to know how a solder failure would represent, and I think it's a natural tendency to think something isn't working before considering a failed solder joint - maybe not so much this crowd, I don't know But I'm glad you got it figured out and shared your experience.
