Hi guys. Any update on which is the better size of 3 blade prop? Am wanting to try either the falcon 19.5x13 or 19x13.5. Any tried both sizes and can tell me the difference in performance? Thanks

I have the Falcon 20X12.5 3 blade on my new Caelus V2 Lite. Waiting for the bad weather to clear to maiden the plane.

Zippi...did you maiden the Caelus yet? I have a Falcon 19.5X13 on order. I did try a Falcon 19x13.5 this past Wednesday, and I liked it. Nice speed control, especially on the down lines. Prop had a much nicer sound than the PT 22x12 I have on there now. The static max amps were at 93...so I will have to watch my throttle or drop the end point to a safe point. Keep us posted.

I went out last weekend for the maiden and had an electrical problem. Ended up being a bad aileron servo extension. Never got a flight in. I'm heading out in the morning for the maiden once again.

I was at a contest a few weeks ago and a gentleman had one on his Prolog. It flew extremely well and was so slow on the down lines. I was super impressed.

The Falcon 19.5 x 13 came today from Mike. Will give it a go on my Caelus at the D6 contest this weekend.

Hi guys,

I'm interested in trying a 3B prop and the 19.5x13 sounds like a good option but I have one small problem that is holding me back. I fly a Krill spark dynamic and I'm finding it hard to source a 3B spinner that will fit my plane. Its 65mm in diameter and 45mm long. If anyone knows where I can find one can you please let me know? Thanks.

Could probably get this cut to suit your prop.

Or this cut to suit a 3 blade.

Thanks I totally forget about TruTurn, I was only researching composite spinners. However, a nice little alloy spinner would look good on my Spark.

They will custom cut slots to suit any prop as well.

Hey Ben,

Would you believe I have a spare uncut Spark spinner?

Cheers,
Jason.

Has anyone compared a falcon 20x12.5 to the 19.5x13, with a pletty advance motor?

Thanks
Tony

So I’ve finally managed to get a three blade prop and I have put around fifty flights on it now. I’m using a Falcon 19.5x13 V2 and so far I love it! I was originally using a Falcon 21.5x13.5 and it was good but I was having trouble trying to achieve a constant downline speed. With the 3B I found it much easier to manage the downline speed. In fact I probably need to adjust the ESC brake and reduce it a little.

Battery consumption has gone up a little by around 200mAh. For the Australian Expert sequence (Advanced A-16), I use between 2800-2900mAh. In windy conditions maybe a little more. Another interesting note about the 3B is the noise or lack of. I thought the two blade was quiet this has taken it to another level.
