Occasional motor screech.
Himax 6330pro + YEP/YGE esc. Occasionally upon throttle advance after a power-off down-line, the motor will give a short screech or squeal. One time it even spun the prop off. Once it squealed on the power-down on a down-line. Timing is set to 20 degrees, I have tried 25 also. Switching frequency is 8khz. No brake on, and start is set to medium. Only way I can keep it from happening is to slowly change the throttle. Any ideas?

Guys
It is not unique to the YGE, I have had the same issue with the Castle HV80. Never could find out what was causing it, but it appeared to be only a problem with a specific Motor and ESC combo. I was using a Plettenburg EVO 30-10 motor and I switched to a OS 1100 ESC and the problem went away. It cost me 3 ESC's before I gave up trying to find the issue. And it doesn't appear to be just an issue with one brand of ESC or Motor. If you look through the treads enough you will find others. Sometimes the description of the sound is different but it seems to be a constant Scenario where they are powering up after a power off down line. Sometimes it causes damage to the ESC, Sometimes Not.
My recommendation is to change either the type of motor or ESC.

Gary, I cannot remember what transmitter you are using, but you should be able to program the speed of response on the throttle channel (actually you should on any channel) so that you can advance the throttle lever as fast as you want, but the actual response signal sent to the receiver is as slow as you need it to be. Had to do that to mine when I switched to a three bladed prop on the setup I have with the Vanquish.
