Default APC-E vs. APC-EW

Hello.
How do the new series APC-EW propellers perform relative to the APC-E?
What is the difference in terms of thrust, speed, power consumption? (e.g. for the same prop diameter and pitch)
(I know the W has a (W)ider blade, but some data I have seen indicate that the "W" gives a lower load on the motor, which I find strange.)
Regards,
Magne

Default RE: APC-E vs. APC-EW

I flew three props on my Xtra 25-13 this year, all APC. The first was a 18x12E. It had decent power and pulled 65A. Then I tried the 19x12WE. It had similar speed, but definitely pulled through uplines and over the top better, again at 65A, so I stuck with it. I tried the 19x12E, but it over-current shutdown my 55A ESC (about 74A on the wattmeter was the highest stick position I could get to). I tried a 19x12E cut down by about 0.5inches diameter, pulling 73A static. It wasn't any better in the air, and over-temp shutdown my 55A ESC after about 3 minutes of flight.

Chad has a lot more experience with various APC props. I'll try to get him to post.
