Default Rolling loop. How?

Hi.
I´m trying to learn rolling loop in my sim but i don´t know how to start.
What i´m looking for to learn is not a one roll loop, but continous rolling during a loop.

Anyone have any good tips on this extremely nice manuevre?
Thank´s!

Husse

Husse,

Although I'm not able to fly this manoevre, what I can suggest is that you try learning rolling circles on your sim, which is already quite difficult. A rolling loop requires lot of training and "trial-and-error" to be perfect, a sim is just what you need. Also, your model aircraft needs to be able to fly good knife edges, and have adequate power.

Now on to somebody who actually flies this manoevre...

Although I am not capable to do this manouver yet... I was told how the manouver goes... and I am trying on the sim. If you start from left to right you come at a good speed, then pull to start the loop as you start rolling, as you go on, you need to trasfer form elevator to rudder, always trying to complete the loop. the trasfer has to be really smooth, is a matter of timming. I have done really nice only once on the sim. Just practice and good luck.

here's how to learn it. take it in steps, first learn to harrier on all axis, then practice swapping from one to another. next try rolling your harriers, then use more up input for the loop.

If you can slow roll (ie use both rudder and elevator to keep it straight) you can learn how to do a rolling loop, it is just a matter of using more throws to get you to go around the loop, the timing is the same.

As with most things, it just takes practice. I can do them, but they are very messy at the moment, and I still duck out 50% of the time on the down leg (up I'm fine with now).
