Default Acromaster or Quiet Storm for park pattern

Hi,

I'm thinking of getting one of these models specifically to get a tiny bit of hassel free pattern practice near where I live. On the face of it the QS looks a bit more apttern orientated than the Multiplex Acromaster. Has anyone compared these two models?

I already have en EF Extra with torque outrunner and Flight Power 2150 batteries. Would this be too heavy for the QS?

Cheers,

A

Hi Angus,

Two vids to help you choose:
http://airtoimedia.nl/web/upload/vdV...-Storm-10C.wmv
http://airtoimedia.nl/web/upload/vdV...cromaster2.wmv

The pilot in both vids, Derk van der Vecht, flew both planes a lot last season.

The Quiet Storm is better at F3A style manouvres and does a very nice FAI P07 program.
The Acromaster is better at 3D and freestyle manouvres.

Thanks for that. I'm leaning more towards the Acromaster now as it is currently available here in the UK, its 1/2 the price of the QS and (mainly) because I'm conscious of the fact that my EF Extra gear is out a plane that weighs ~33oz, the QS is meant to be ~22oz. Wouldn't want to spoil it by making it too heavy.
