Assuming that the ESC is spec'd for 75-100 amps, the most likely culpritis a short developing somewhere. Possibly in the motr which is going to be hard to check out.
And, of course, could be a rare malfunctuin within the ESC.
Happy hunting.

Like stated before a short or a over amping issue in a long vertical pull or if poor cooling to the controller. Maybe you can send back and get it covered under warranty.

hi scoot thank for your info but i was in a midle off a verticul up line at half trotle,
but some time wen i was flying the engine stop and i have to gow down with the trim and start again, i look for the esc temp and was about 60 dregers celcius , not bad for summer here in argentina, also the max amp that i have was 74 at full trothle and full charge the batteries
any other suggestion??
thanks
marcelo

Marcelo,
I would say the 60c is the problem, did a quick conversion and that is 140F Way to hot !!! I fly a Castle Creations HV85 and it never gets past ambient temp.. I have flown in 100F temps and it does not get any hotter. I would look at better cooling or a different controller..
sounds like the over temp sensor was kicking in and thats why you lost the power and had to throttle back, or a over amp spike.
