I have a Brio with a DualSky motor currently - the peformance is not too good. I am looking at changing this to a 480BL 1020Kv Outrunner. Lipo's I use are Thunder Power 2100. Can someone that has flown a Brio on the 480BL 1020Kv motor give me an idea of the performance and what prop they find works for them.
Thanks

I was quite disappointed with the Brio 10's performance with the 480 motor... let alone how fragile the Brio itself is...
I had one of these on hand

So for yuks I installed it on the brio.
WOW what a difference using nothing more than a cheap $17.00 motor.
I used the same E-Flite ESC and transferred the prop mount after cutting down the threaded screw.
Now for 8 mins or so I get truely unlimited verticals, and the plane will hover at about 30% throttle.

I used the Power 10 and a 3S 2150 lipo and an APC 11X7 prop. I tried 10X6, 10X7, 11X6, 11X7, 12X6. The 11X7 gave the best flying. It was ballistic.
