If I am not going to be flying for a couple weeks or more, I charge or discharge my packs to 3.85V per cell and store in the refrigerator in my garage in zip lock bags. This approach seems to be the recommended method based on the battery experts. Let them warm to room temperature before charging again.

Thanks Woodie,
Is there an optimum temp. Is it the cooler the better, or is there a temp bellow which we should not go.

I haven't seen exact temp figures but normal refrig temps (approx 40F) seem to be the norm. It may vary by cell manufacturer but those temps have worked for me. If I remember correctly, freezing temps are not recommended.

Basically, if the beer in the refrigerator is just about the right temp, then my lipos are happy in storage......

Thanks Paul and Woodie.
Just the excuse I needed to 'clear' out some of that beer.

Have you noticed your beer disappearing when your lipos are in the fridge or when ExFokker is around? [8D]

The latter!!!!

Tho I will admit I don't have a problem getting the beer to disappear from my refrig. But in my defense, somtimes I have to make room for lipo storage and the beer looks like a good compromise!!!
