Inrunner ... oooooooooo ... spelt with the word NEU? Heheheehehehehheee ... I wish it was easy to purchase motor mounts here, if it were so I would go with inrunners. As for the Chinese manufacturers frankly, they only manufacture (ain't it obvious) but its the marketing guys who are detached. In China they will make whatever you want depending on how much you want to spend. Spend less you get the El Cheapo stamp ... pay more and its Premium stuff, all from the same place.

tIANci_Don't let the lack of availabilty of a soft mount for an inrunner deter you from running them. I did business with Mr Hyde for many years when I flew glow. Rest assured, if this is what you have in mind, one of his soft mounts specifically designed for this motor would find it's way to YOU! Now, what do you think? Regards___TNWalker

TN ... I will email Steve Neu and My Hyde tonight! Heheheheehe ... I am short of a plane now. Sold the porky Element to my pal and I may get a 2x2 from my pal who just built his own. She flies really nice.

tiANci, Castle Creations is handling the retail arrangement for Steve Neu. "Christie" is the person to contact at Castle. Of course you know all business is direct with Merle Hyde.
Christie told me to expect a wait of approx 6-8 weeks. It's winter here & I'm in a "building" mode! Our motors will be related/same litter! Let me know if you need assistance.

TN ... I was told that there is a real possiblity that the cheaper ESCs will not perform as well as the branded ones, I will need to get a CC 110HV and put it on my MidWest CAP to see if there is a difference in the power output.

tIANci, from what I understand, most of the other flyers with the NEU motor are running the Castle/Phoenix HV 85 with outstanding results! This is the combination I plan to fly this coming season. Keep me informed of your progress. Regards_______TnWalker

Neu makes some great motors. I'm running a 1515/3D in a scale aerobat at 2800W on 10S, with no problems, motor stays nice and cool, gearbox heat is the only issue. I love Neu motors but not their availability: it took five months for my 1515 to arrive and consequently I had an airframe idle all last summer. That was five months when the advertised wait times through Castle were 4 weeks they advertise a longer lead time now. I've had some issues with Hyperion Z4045 motors as well, although Dave at Hyperion has been _exceptional_ in his support of the product and I've since given Hyperion and their resellers much business in the meantime because of this. But I still think the jury is out on their big motors. I'm definitely watching the feedback about the 5025 with interest, maybe I should give them another chance.

eajohnson, I was given a lead time of 6-8 weeks & that was 3 weeks ago. I don't really know how I could/would deal with 5 MONTHS! But, sometimes you have to learn to be patient when you know the "best is yet to come"! Thanks for your response. Regards_______TNWalker

Like the old saying goes: Patience is a virtue.

Actually, I'm trying to talk myself into trying one of these since they cost as much as it will cost to send my AXI back/return to CZ.

Somebody used my AXI F3A/5330 as a post hole digger.
