I just happened to be looking at the Sebart website and saw this beauty! The new Wind 50E which is described as coming soon. Having just lost my Angel 50 I was looking for a home for my Hacker 50 16S and this will be it.

I just maiden my Wind 50e and all i can say is that's a exellent plane for this size.
When i take off she wanted just a click of right aileron and nothing else to fly straight and levell, she tracks very well and the rolls are very clean and easy the snap starts and stop exactly when you want, she want 3% rudder to aileron mix and 4% rudder to elevator only for left rudder knife edge.
I fly P11 and the plane can do all the schedule very easy.
The only issue for me is that the plane is too fast in downlines because of the speed control i use.
(I just order a Jeti 77 advance pro with brake to see i something will change in downlines)
My setup
Scorpion 4025-12 motor
Turnigy 80amp speed control
APC 16x10 prop
All around futaba digital servos
GRELE regulator
Rhino 750 2s receiver battery
Turnigy 6s 4000 batt or Rhino 6s 4900
With this setup i finish 3220 with turnigy and 3300 with Rhino battery

Ireally like the look of this airplane, and the smaller size that will more easily fit in my car, but am debating between this and the Wind 110. Anyone have feedback on flying characteristics between this and the Wind 110?

The 50 looks more modern, more like the wind s pro, then the 110 e witch has been arround a little longer.
Is there going to be a newer version of the 110e soon maybe that's like the 50e.
My question also is how are the characteristics between the two appart from that the 110 will perform a little better with more wind?

Hi Gregor,
Did you follow the Dutch F3A competition? Henri had great results with the WindS110. Still a very nice flying plane. So I would not choose the 50 for being a later design. Choose for 110 for being the lager model and better equipped to handle different weather situation or choose for the 50 if you like the size better.
Regards,
Hans

Hi Hans,
Thanks again for your reply.
I didn't follow the f3a competition but i did follow the thread Henri started about the 110.
As for size i like the 110 much more. ( pro would be the best but a little to expencive
).
Thought maybe the 110 would be uprated anytime soon like the 50 so the choice would be a lot easier.
Also like the color scheme more on the 50 ...
Regards,
Gregor

Cn u give us some reading ... what is the amp draw and watts.

The power is more than enough i didn't have to put more than 3/4 of my throttle any time in P11 scedule.
I have to put about 2800-3200 mah after 8 min flight.

Thanks Huison and Hans... very helpful to see the 50e next to the Pro and 110. Really leaning toward the 50e based on looks. If there were a 110 size version I'd snap it up!

Got my Wind last week and have started putting it together. The fuselage has quit a bit more volume than the Angel 50 and should present better in the air. I am using Hitec HS225MG servos in each elevator half and these drop in after relieving the end of the mounting ply with a round file to allow the cable rubber to pass easily. Typical Sebart quality and nice covering job, should be flying next week weather permitting.

Does anybody know where I could get one Wind S 50E in Austria, or in elsewhere in EU and ship it to Austria?
I've been trying for days to get one but nobody seems to have it on stock! [

Thanks in advance!
