Jeff what servos do you run in your plane Thanks Steve
|
Is it still possible to request the plans via email?? It is a beautiful looking bird. My email is [email protected]

Jeff what type of hinges are you using and on foam wing do you install extra blocks for hinges thanks SteveSteve

I use Radio South CA hinges. I don't add any additional blocks for them, the 1/4" facing gives sufficient gluing surface.

Hi there,
I also started building a Lightning some time ago. Due to other priorities in life the project had been on hold for a little while but I recently picked it up again. |

At the moment I am preparing the parts to build the wing. As I will not be using foam cores I need to create a rib structure. The plans give plenty of detail to realize this, just need to be a bit creative here and there.

Fred,
Your photos are great and will greatly help me with my Lightning build. The only question I still have is how/when do I install my soft motor mount for my inrunner motor. Thanks, Bob |

I took the wingroot from the drawing and resized it in 10 steps. I added some spars and this gave me a set of ribs to build the wing. |

Thanks, Bob I will be fitting an outrunner but the drawing also includes a special bracket for an inrunner motor. Once this bracket is glued in place you can easily mount your inrunner.
