Neu versus Plettenberg.

OK so I admit to being in a slightly cantankerous mood, but none the less I'm certain that this observation is true to the facts.

1) Plettenberg has recently produced the 30-10 Advanced and claimed:

Advance – immer einen Schritt voraus.
which (having taken 7 years of German) I believe translates to . . . "Advance - Always a step ahead."

BUT . . .

2) I think the Neu ORKs were out there well before this motor. The trouble is they never marketed it to the right people.

The whole point here is a bit of nationalistic hubris . . . we can do it . . . and usually we do :D

RE: Neu versus Plettenberg.

Joe,

My meager German would concur with your translation.

However, comparing the Advance to the ORK is not really appropriate, in my opinion. The useable range of operation is quite different between the motors.....the ORKs are not well suited for the relatively low RPM in pattern or aerobatic applications. Should Neu choose to make a direct drive motor for aerobatics, I am sure it would be top level, as are the motors they currently make for specific disciplines.
