RE: CA Models VISA

Marcelos new plane is the last De Ja Vu pic that I posted in the other thread. Ricks wings are being finished today and mine and Marcelos tomorrow. I will probably fly mine Sunday. We have been practicing with another Visa we finished a couple weeks ago that has two sets of stabs one for pattern the other for 3D. We will be bringing that plane as well.

Dammit Chip!

You're not making my being poor any easier! New favorite Visa scheme. The very close second being the one that you flew in the Argentine nats this year. Awesome work!

My Visa finished and flown yesterday. Zero mix and flew really nice right off the bat. See you guys in Columbia. The last pic is the new Trex 700 E bagged balsa canopy. Its about 70 grams lighter then a standard canopy and we are making them in house.

Anyone know if I can still get the Hyde gold control hornes with the bearing ? Tried F3A Unlimited but he didn't have them . I was told they are still in the ARF CA kits.

Thanks

Mike if you are running the split rudder here is how we do it.. (DEPS system from Central hobbies or .70 carbon rod)
if you are using the standard rudder then you will mount the Evevator servos in the stab
and the rudder servo in the normal spot in the tray

Todd -

From the looks of the picture, you must aspire to be a proctologist! You've got so many supports in there! I used just two supports in mine as instructed by Chip. I would bet that your's is pretty rigid, but not sure that all of those are necessary. However, if you are just living out a dream, don't let me rain on your parade :-)

Hey guys thanks for helping out with the Q´s. I have been super busy down here moving to a new Casa and working on some stuff for 2011. The Visas are still going strong and we have only been making them better. They now will come with a new much cleaner landing gear as well as a composite split rudder.

Here a a few pics of 2 new ones we did rescently for Ney.

Merry Christmas to all

WOW, that looks beautiful!

Hey Chip, how are you preparing for your first Christmas in Argentina?
I feel your pain on the moving, I've been moving for a week now, and still not done....

Ney, your airplane is sure going to turn heads at the worlds, congratulations.

Best regards

I think so as well. I have had them finished for 3 weeks but ran into a little issue getting all of Neys servos and stuff down here. Finally they arrived and I finished out the first one to fly this past weekend. We have semi rigged planes for people before but Ney decided he wanted the whole nine yards and even test flown. I was more nervous flying his plane then I have ever been testing my own.

The good news was the plane took off and need no trim. I flew one sequence of P11 landed and now its being packed up. This is the hardest part for me as I hate to let this go it flew perfect right off the bat.

I will fly his second one next weekend. Here are a few pics from the days events. Even though I have been here just over a year it still blows me away that I can eat steak or really whatever my heart desires at the field and have served just like at a first class restaurant. We ate lunch and dinner yesterday and finished about midnight. Its just the norm here Thurs, Fri. Sat. and Sunday nights.

Hi Chip:

I just wanted to let you know I flew Visa1 Saturday and it flew very nice. Practical 0 mixing only 1.5% on Rud to Ail and 2% on the down line everything else is 0% mixing. 6 flight in and the plane feel better and better. 3 flight in and I already was doing P-11. Snap WOW!!!!!!! Spin, Stall. Figure M, Rolling Circle the plane handles them very nice. I´m 100% satisfy. Really good work form Camodel and you. Can´t wait to have Visa2 here and fly.

The plane looks beautiful, much better looking in person then in the photos. Really nice work. Quality is top of the line, really nice job.

Here are some picture of the plane

Take care,

Ney
