Hi!
My E-Flite motor turns around 13000rpm (8x8E thick blade)with a newly (charged once)Turnigy 14,8V, 2650mAh battery and Turnigy Plush 60A speed controll.
What do you think? Have friends that have the same motor and theirs turn 14000-15000rpm.
The strange thing is that the speed controller has three diffrent timings Low, medium and high and there is no change in rpm between them.

There are two versions of the Eflite power 25 motor. One is 870KV and the EF-1 racing motor is 1250KV. Please make sure you have the 1250 KV motor. They look identical, except an EF-1 label on the 1250.

You should be seeing 14.5K+ at a minimum on a 8x8E.

Well, that didn't help. I would try a different speed control. Perhaps try one that your friend has and see if the RPM comes back.

We have the same Turnigy 60A Plush speed controll. Still diffrent RPM.

We had our first EF1 race sat 10 flyers Everybody checking RPM's and comparing reading Everybody was in the 14,000 to 14500 range Probably different battery and motor config Last year we had a guy complaining about his low RPM readings on his Q500 motor He was at least 1000 under everyone Guess what was wrong ? His expensive custom made TACH was BAD

When I charged the Turnigy 2650mAh battery a second time the rpm was up to 14000rpm.

Most Li Po batt. said you should cycle them several time to start getting best performance.
