piccolo pro won't fly
hey all
i just finished building my pic pro and i went out to give it a test fly. the main rotor spun up fine and every thing seemed to be working great, the problem is that even at full throttle and max pitch it won't even lift off the ground. i am using the hitec laser 6. is there anything that i need to do to set up the radio? i dont know what's wrong. please help!
thanks

disconnect the motor and check pitch. +6 degrees needed to lift off. if your into 3-d center stick should be 0 pitch. if not 0 degrees should be arround 1/4 stick and +6 at center stick.

i have the manual, but i must have the abreviated one because it is only 6 pages long. i dont see anything in it about how to set up throttle/pitch curves. could anyone that has a laser 6 explain how they set it up?

RE: <span class=
I have a basic blade question. When leveling the paddles and blades.. both paddles and both rotor blades should be dead flat and even? or should the main blades have a little + pitch to them? the pic pro manual says the pitch should be set at about 4.5mm. Even at 4.5 mm, my blades have a little + pitch to them.

RE: <span class=
with the swashplate centered 90 degrees to the mainshaft from the side and front, the paddles should be flat to the head and eaven with each other. the pitch for beginning should be and 6 degrees positive (hovering)at center stick. for advanced its 0 degrees and cntr stick with poditive and neg 9 degrees at top and bottom of stick movement. note: these settings of the pitch are from my 30,50 and 70 macnines.
there should not be any slop in the flybar and the space between the paddles equil.

[link=http://www.pgoelz.com/piccolo_faq.html]Paul's site[/link] tells you most of what you need to know about Piccolos.
He has links to other sites that also have good information on the Piccolo.
