Default Antenna on Aerohawk

From the factory my aerohawk came with the antenna wrapped around the landing gear. Should it be like that? Does it have to be that long?

The length of the antenna does affect the range that you will have. It comes from the factory with the optimal length for greatest range.
These helis do not need much range, since we typically fly much much closer in that the average maximum range.
I discuss different options on [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/Too_Much_Antenna_Wire_%28Suggestions_anyone%3F%29/m_1320012/tm.htm]this thread[/link] that was started yesterday.
Take a look. Good luck with your new treasure. Let us know how you do.

The skids are OK but just make sure that the antenna is not touching ANY carbon fiber as this will cause interferance.(CF conductes Electricity)
