Default Hummingbird DF tail

Hello, Im still learning to fly my hummingbird and can keep a decent hover in my living room. I still need practice at spot landing. I try to land on stools and chairs only to miss and brake a tail rotor. [&o] Would switching to the carbon fin set with ducted fan be a good idea? Does the EDF 40 work just as good as the stock tail rotor system? And overall would it be a good investment? Thanks.

Default RE: Hummingbird DF tail

In general, ducted fans are heavier, higher current draws with less efficiency. So for normal flight, the are not the most ideal configuration.
A less risky method to proctice spot landing would to be to tape an X on the floor and practice landing on that.
